Ball Pythons
Known for their docile nature and manageable size, Ball Pythons are widely considered the gold standard for beginner reptile enthusiasts. These curious companions are native to West Africa and have become beloved pets due to their gentle temperament and striking variety of colors and patterns.
Temperament
Extremely calm and slow-moving, they rarely bite and prefer to curl into a defensive ball if stressed, making them very easy to handle.
Enclosure Needs
They require a secure habitat with high humidity (60-80%) and a warm basking spot (88-92°F) to mimic their tropical native environment.
Feeding
Feeding is simple, typically requiring one appropriately sized rodent every 1-2 weeks, depending on the age and size of your python.
